Announcing our 2025 Mr. South Whidbey Contestants!

Jeremie Canty

Jeremie is a born and raised Islander. Recently moved back one quarter century ago. You may have seen him working at ProBuild Lumber or The Goose Grocer, but most likely with South Whidbey School Dist. AKA Batman The Bus Driver. Jeremie loves his job as a bus driver being able to help the youth, he also Volunteers for 4-H Shooting Sports. Mosly, he enjoys time with his family and good online gaming session with friends he has met around the world.

Isaac Leitz, a local physical therapist who is a magnet for injury himself and always jumping in for a good cause! He moved to Whidbey Island in 2012 with his amazing wife Karen, a true local legend. Isaac believes our community is special because of generations of people doing great things for neighbors, like Friends of Friends. He’s excited to run for the coveted title of Mr. South Whidbey and welcomes your votes ($$$) to make impactful change in the health of our community.

One evening, Ken went to a bonfire at Ali McManus’s house. She slowed him down with steak and confused him with wine, and said he couldn’t leave until he committed to running for Mr. South Whidbey. It was cold, but he knew that his heart, as well as the hearts of the Bailey’s Trivia Thursday crowd, were very warm for Friends of Friends, so he decided to throw his hat in the ring. This is the same hat he wears when he plays tennis. If you’ve played tennis with Ken, you know he’s in it to win it!

Good day mates! I'm running for Mr. South Whidbey as a self proclaimed Crocodile Hunter /Steve Irwin of Whidbey Island.
Working with our animal rescue, I love long walks in the park with dogs from cell block six, cats bringing their claws of justice and cuddling with reptiles that give love bites when you’re not paying attention during deep meditations on South Whidbey beaches.
I prefer the animal kingdom but FOF is so awesome, I decided to help raise money for the human species as well. They bring all we do for animals to the people of South Whidbey. I’m honored to work with them.
