People know me by my stage name Andrey Psyche.
I started my life pursuing science and medicine, but after finishing UW, I had a change of heart and relentrlessly followed my calling toward all things creative.
I've published numerous books and songs in the themes of LOVE! I believe love is the antidote. Love is the engine. Love is the not-so secret ingredient.
Because without love, we would live a bland and sickly existence going nowhere.
I stand for love.

Actor, activist, overly-committed social services and philanthropic board member. Jeff is a passionate fan of women’s sports (check out his Seattle Storm tattoo as proof), his husband of 35 years, his family, his very chill dog Otis, and napping. He’s a first-time entrant in the Mr. South Whidbey pageant because he gives in easily to peer pressure and because he thinks Friends of Friends is a supremely worth cause.
Meet Jeremy, Hierophant Meadery Chief Fermenting Officer. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Jeremy has now lived in Washington for 23 years, and has been a man of Whidbey for 7 years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University, which greatly informs his mastery of crafting historic botanical meads. With his passions for history, boat building, woodworking, and nature, his roots dating back to 911 AD Normandy, and his many worldly talents, we lovingly refer to Jeremy as a man of the old world.
When Jeremy is not making mead, he can be found fussing with plants, building something, cold plunging, becoming a Victorian garden warlock, or cosplaying as an ancient deity at a solstice or equinox seasonal wheel event at the Meadery.
Jeremy feels deeply grateful to be in a dynamic, caring community here on the island and is thrilled to help Friends of Friends in their mission supporting our neighbors through generosity and connection.
Justin Silva moved to this beautiful little island with his loving wife Renée nearly 6 years ago. Prior to finding their forever home, Justin lived all over the west coast, ranging from Tahoe to Hawaii. He hails from the bike capital of the world: Davis, CA. Sadly, not Amsterdam. Justin is most well known on the island for his work with South Whidbey School District and the South Whidbey Schools Foundation. He is in his 11th year of teaching and his 13th in education. Prior to going into education, he worked in construction management, helping to design and build large scale construction projects, ranging from prisons to schools.
Justin graduated from Southern Oregon University, with a degree in Political Science, and a Master’s in Education from UC Santa Cruz.
When he's not teaching, Justin can be found hiking, gardening, fishing, crabbing, reading and playing music.
Steve moved to glorious Whidbey Island May 1, 2023 and has been “livin’ the dream” ever since. He is “dee-lighted” to support Friends of Friends by being part of the 2026 Mr. S Whidbey lineup, since he is grateful to live here and is a big believer in the three Cs: Community, Caring, and Creativity. When asked if he had a happy childhood, Steve replies “so far, so good.” Steve lives by “If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster” (from Proverbs, he thinks).
